Amy Jones Neville was raised in the small town of Leonard, Texas. She has a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science with minors in Biology and Chemistry. Amy served as a crime scene investigator from 2009-2019 and has a knack for spotting irregularities and coincidences amidst a forest of details. She now teaches high school science, including Forensics. Amy still applies her scientific lens to the world and tries to remain impartial when relating her experiences.

Amy and her husband, Kris, have 2 children, Gemma and Gage and reside in north Texas. The family enjoys their church events, hunting and being outdoors together. They have an affinity for all creatures great and small.  Their pet family is a menagerie of rescues.

In 2020, reeling from a series of devastating losses, I wandered my way into a church.  Although I had been raised Christian, I was angry at God and doubt had crept in.  After being rededicated, I felt called to write a book about my journey and struggles with faith.  As a very scientific person, doubt has been a difficult thing to overcome.  That paired with a sense of not measuring up to what I believed to be mainstream Christianity, I truly believe God asked me to write for others in my shoes.  Those of us searching for meaning in suffering.  Those of us just starting out, children in our faith.  I wanted others to know that all of us struggle, we all have dark places, even if we don't show them Sunday morning.  I'm still walking this road to discover who God is, and I am inviting you all along!
